Both
Craig and Sean have worked as indepedent guides in the Taupo
region for many years. Taupo fly fishing brings together
the skills of two well respected local guides ensuring a
guide is always available for your trip.
If
we are unavailable we will do our best to find you a quality
guide that is.
Craig
Farrar - Craig grew up in the Taupo area and has Fly fished
the local rivers since the age of 10 and guided these rivers
for the last 6 years.. Not only a full time guide Craig
is also a very competentent competition fly fisherman and
was a member of the 2006 New Zealand Fly fishing team that
finished 13th at the World fly fishing champs and 7th at
the Commonwealth champs. Individually Craig has finished
20th in the Commonwealth and 2nd in New Zealand. Craig is
looking forward to competing on home turf in the 2008 fly
fishing world champs to be held in New Zealand.
Sean
Andrews - Sean is a self confessed fish addict originating
from the UK. Sean is an extremely experienced angler having
guided in Sweden for 7 years before moving to NZ and falling
in love with the superb trout fishing available. Sean has
fished in many parts of the world but ask him why NZ fishing
is so good and with out a doubt it is the sighted fishing
for large trout.
All
other guides that work for us have been chosen because of
there knowledge of the region and there fly fishing personalities.
